Around a dozen riders took an optimistic view of the weather forecast and only got a bit wet. Some participants had travelled quite a distance and all were rewarded with the almost unique opportunity to ride on the cycle ways of Stevenage. There was a variety of machinery including a Vincent Firefly and an Italian four-stroke with a very exquisite handlebar gear change without a cable in sight.
